Screaming Females Announce Compilation Album Singles Too for October 2019 Release

Expect a lot of fun and waves of laughter while watching Screaming Females’ infomercial! The New Jersey-based rock band released a parody video today, announcing its compilation album Singles Too which is set to release October 18th.

Formed in 2005, the three-piece rock band comprises guitarist and vocalist Marissa Paternoster, drummer Jarrett Dougherty and bassist Mike “King Mike” Abbate. The raucous crew never stops adding fun to their dynamite act. In the parody video, the trio wears hilarious ’80s hair metal wigs, and at one point dances in neon-colored t-shirts. The pretentiousness and absurdity behind the previously mentioned scenes is evident, but oddly pleasing. The band creatively use the means of Television advertising, once again displayed their creativity.

The sense of humor in the infomercial video gives fans a taste of the band’s upcoming album, it’s raw and authentic. According to a press release, the tracklist revisits the band’s 15-year music journey. From playing in basement shows to pursuing their music goals full-time by mapping out dense tours, the band’s history is chronicled well.

Paternoster recalls the band’s story at its early-stage in “Arm Over Arm” and “Zoo of Death.” “On the first single we ever put out, there were mistakes that I made playing guitar that make me want to crawl into a hole and die,” she says, “At the time I didn’t know I was allowed to say, ‘Can I do that again and correct it? I was 19, giving it my all.”

Singles Too documents Screaming Femalesgrowth and footprints on the music industry. It is newfound energy compared to their last album, All At OnceThe band recently finished their summer tour and will soon embark on fall tour.
