Maren Morris’ the female country artist from Arlington, Texas released a new video for “The Bones” which was directed by Alex Ferrari. The video is heartwarming with scenic landscapes taken from a glorious, golden beach, showing Morris’ on a vacation with husband, Ryan Hurd. The two perfectly display a loving relationship in the most ideal setting of a tropical, lush and green paradise.
Morris’ voice is sweet against a snappy beat and strumming guitar. The rhythm and harmonizing blend well, set against lyrics which are fitting against the video, as the song speaks about the solidity of a relationship that cannot break because the foundation is strong. Like the lyrics, “The house don’t fall when the bones are good.” This is an inspiring theme throughout the track as it is a positive reminder that one can be themselves in a relationship and the foundation won’t crack. The video compliments the track as an ode to the solid relationship Morris has with her husband.
“The Bones” is from the album, Girl which debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Morris won a Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance at the 2017 Grammy Awards, was named New Artist of the Year at the 50th Annual CMA Awards, Top Country Female Artist at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards and New Female Vocalist of the Year at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards.
