Indie rock legends J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. and Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine came together at Dinosaur Jr.’s Camp Fuzz for a jam session earlier this week. The session came about during a Q&A with the pair, where Mascis also performed Tom Petty’s “Here Comes My Girl,” at karaoke.

According to BrooklynVegan, Camp Fuzz is an “all-inclusive adventure that features master classes, Q&A sessions, performances, arts and crafts, and more”, with a focus on rock music. This year’s camp starting last Tuesday and is concluding today with a few final sessions. Fucked Up frontman Damian Abraham will be recording a special episode of his podcast, I Turned Out a Punk, Mascis will be hosting another Q&A (this one will be focused on guitar pedals), and Dinosaur Jr. will be performing an entire live set.

Matthew Jordan: I grew up in Massachusetts, but I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I picked up my first musical instrument (viola) in the 3rd grade, and have been a fan of everything the medium has to offer ever since. Some of my favorite artists right now include Matt Maltese, Idles, MIKE, Benny the Butcher, Standing on the Corner, Built to Spill, and Frank Ocean. I also love following the charts and the music business to see what is connecting with listeners and why.
