The English rock band, Foals, has confirmed their upcoming album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost -Part 2 set to release October 18th through Warner Records. This album is the follow up to their highly acclaimed and critically praised Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1, which talked about the striking state of the world in an artistically creative manor. Part two is going to be more of a response to the first record with the premise of, “how can we continue in the wreckage?” with heavier riffs and more emphasized guitars, Foals looks to carry on the message from Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1.
The band released a music video for the albums first single, “Black Bull”, which explores humans state of contemporary concerns like conflicted masculinity or a false sense of grandeur. This only highlights Foals ability to turn humans’ darkest reflections into art. The band had announced they were back in the studio at the beginning of 2017 and starting writing new music towards the end of the year. The first part of this two-part album was described as more of a keyboard driven feel while the second part of this album was more of an energetic rock feel. Both albums were recorded at the same time, so they are lyrically intertwined and have the same vibe in both records.
The track list for part two of the album looks like this:
- Red Desert
- The Runner
- Wash Off
- Black Bull
- Like Lightning
- Dreaming Of
- Ikaria
- 10,000 Feet
- Into the Surf
- Neptune
The band has been touring for a majority of 2019, but they still have a few more stops to make. The band will be performing in Austria, Newquay, Thailand, Japan, Switzerland, France, Ukraine, and Russia. Making a 3 day stop to perform at the Off Festival in Poland, the band will be joined on stage by Suede, Stereolab, The Comet is Coming, and Superorganism. If Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost -Part 2 is anything like their Mercury Prize nominated part one, then we are in for a big treat.
