Tegan and Sara are gearing up for a big fall 2019, with a memoir, album and now tour in the works. The new album is called Hey, I’m Just Like You and will be made up of reworked versions of old high-school era demos the two sisters found. That dovetails nicely with the pair’s upcoming memoir High School. Today, they’ve announced a series of tour dates this fall, during which they’ll perform mostly-acoustic sets with a few older tracks thrown in for good measure, plus reading from High School.
Hey, I’m Just Like You will be released on September 27, while the memoir will be released on September 24. In a statement from the band, they announced that the tour will be “solo,” as in just the two sisters performing as a duo.
Recently, Tegan and Sara released a cover of the Hayley Williams (of Paramore) song “Nineteen,” – conversely, Chvrches released cover of Tegan and Sara’s song “Call It Off” from the tribute album The Con X: The Covers.
