Tiger Army Announces New Album Retrofuture for September 2019 Release and Shares New Song “Eyes of the Night”

Punk band Tiger Army has announced their newest album Retrofuture and shared a new song from that record. Wow the band has ventured into genre is outside of their tentpole of punk rock, this new song finds them making a return to that sound, reminiscent of AFI’s early releases on Nitro Records.

“Eyes of the Night” is right in line with what one would expect from the long-running psychobilly band, filled heart-pounding breakneck pacing, lead singer Nick 13’s trademark local delivery and plenty of melodic hooks.

Retrofuture be released on September 13th 2019 on influential punk and hardcore label Rise Records. While Tiger Army released an album in 2016 when they released V•••, that was their first since 2007.

“I write what I’m inspired by in the moment – since releases in recent years have been more about vocal-driven ballads or Americana with my solo project than something that draws from hardcore punk, I thought it would be fun to release “Eyes Of The Night” as a first peak at Retrofuture,” said Nick 13. “Listeners should never get too complacent in their idea of what Tiger Army sounds like, there are more surprises ahead!”

The band has also announced at slew of tour dates in the fall of 2019. They will play the United States and then Europe along with bands like Grave Pleasures and SadGirl.
