Korn’s very own Jonathan Davis has collaborated with Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins for Korn’s latest single “You’ll Never Find Me.” According to the PRP, Davis spoke at a fan Q&A event about the collaboration, stating “We sat in two chairs like this and he picked up an acoustic guitar and he started playing the chord progressions while I was singing the melodies. I’ve never done anything like that before, and it was a really cool experience.” The new song will be apart of Korn’s upcoming album The Nothing set for a September 13 release date.
The band teased fans earlier this year about the album with a social media posts of what appeared to be a batch of wire or cords, with the caption providing a link to their official website.
Davis discussed the upcoming album in a press release, stating “It’s the place where black and white energies attach themselves to our souls, and shape our emotion, choices, perspective and ultimately our very existence,” Davis continued.”There is a miraculous and small realm within this vortex and it’s the only place where balance between these dynamic and polarizing forces exists -where the soul finds its refuge. Welcome to…..The Nothing.” The album features 13 new tracks and follows their 2016 album The Serenity of Suffering.
They are also gearing up for their summer tour with Alice in Chains, kicking off July 18 in Texas. See the full list of dates below.
