Bishop Briggs is a One-Woman Wrecking Ball in New Video for “Champion”

Bishop Briggs has released a brand new single and music video titled “Champion.” The singer delivers an incredibly powerful vocal performance on this track, showing Briggs has no signs of slowing down following her meteoric rise to fame just a couple of years ago. The video for the track is intense as Briggs’ performance on the song, showing the singer fighting men in a biker bar in order to obtain a case. The video ended with “To Be Continued,” making it seem like this video is merely the first in a longer narrative that Briggs is going to build upon with more releases. Whatever Briggs has planned for fans, it is sure to be an incredible work of music.

Bishop Briggs, whose real name is Sarah McLaughlin, is a Scottish singer who has been performing since she was a kid. Briggs rose to fame off of her hit track “River” in 2017, which would later be featured on her debut album, Church Of Scars. “River” would go on to become platinum certified and is still Briggs’ most well known track to date. The singer is known for her strong vocals and songwriting, with most of her music’s production combining both acoustic and electronic elements. Briggs’ emulates many of sounds that are popular today, while also adding her own twist into the mix. After the success of her debut album, Briggs has created a strong fan base for herself and is starting to make waves in the mainstream.

The singer’s recent popularity can be easily seen through the shows she has been booking lately, performing at a variety of festivals in 2019, including SXSW and Coachella earlier this year. Briggs is also making a splash on late night television, revealing that the new “Champion” single will make its television debut on The Late Late Show With James Corden on July 29.
