Tool’s Early Demo 72826 Is Band’s First Music to Appear on Streaming Service

Iconic American rock band Tool has begun to release their music on streaming services, as reported by The PRP. Their first project to be released on these services is 72826, their 1991 demo EP. The EP is available right now on Apple Music, Google Play Music, and YouTube.

There has been much speculation about how Tool will adjust to the primarily digital world of music consumption, considering they haven’t released anything in over a decade. 10,000 Days, the band’s fourth and most recent studio album, was released in 2006.  The band’s currently untitled fifth studio album will be released on August 30th, 2019, but as of right now, there is no information available on how or where they plan to release the highly anticipated project.  This first release on streaming services, while it may be the group’s first ever project, might mean that they are preparing to release the new album digitally.

If Tool continues to chronologically release their older catalog on streaming services, the next release will be their Platinum-selling 1992 EP, Opiate.
