PIG Announces Fall 2019 The Divine Descent Tour Dates

Post-punk band PIG has just announced The Divine Descent Tour, a nationwide fall tour with support from electronic/industrial rock group Cyanotic and recent Metropolis Records signee A Primitive Evolution. The tour will begin at the Hard Luck Bar in Toronto on September 19th and conclude at Mortimer’s in Minneapolis on October 6th. Their one festival appearance on this tour will be at the industrial rock-focused Coldwaves Festival in Chicago on September 22nd.

PIG is bringing back some of their previous members for this tour.  Steve White, PIG’s primary guitarist in the 90s, is returning for the first time in years after stints with KMFDM and 16 Volt. En Esch is also returning, having first worked with Raymond Watts, the mastermind behind PIG, in 1985. Galen Waling will be taking back the PIG drums after remaining busy for years as a touring member of Lords of Acid, Julian K and 16 Volt.

Raymond Watts started PIG in the late 80s, and has been pivotal in the industrial music scene for decades now, having been a major part of many projects (PIG, KMFDM, touring with Nine Inch Nails, etc.). PIG has been extremely productive over the first half of 2019. Their most recent release, CANDY, consisted of 14 covers.  Other highlights of their eclectic year include the release of a remix album called Stripped and Whipped in May and their newest EP, The Wages of Sin.

Matthew Jordan: I grew up in Massachusetts, but I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I picked up my first musical instrument (viola) in the 3rd grade, and have been a fan of everything the medium has to offer ever since. Some of my favorite artists right now include Matt Maltese, Idles, MIKE, Benny the Butcher, Standing on the Corner, Built to Spill, and Frank Ocean. I also love following the charts and the music business to see what is connecting with listeners and why.
