Type O Negative To Release New Boxset None More Black September 2019

Notable American goth metal band from the 90s, Type O Negative will be re-releasing a vinyl box set, “None More Black,” on September 6th, as reported by The PRP last month. This is not the first time the “None More Black” box set has been released with the first release being in 2011 as an exclusive for Record Store Day. The first release of the “None More Black” box set was noted as being both ridiculously expensive and very elusive with only 1,000 box sets ever being made. Type O Negative disbanded in 2010 after the passing of bassist and vocalist Peter Steele in 2010 and some of the remaining members of Type O Negative formed new band called Silvertomb seven years after Steele’s passing.

The re-release of the “None More Black” box set will see changes from the 2011 version such as updated packaging and the inclusion of the original, highly controversial, cover art for the album The Origin of Feces (Not Live At Brighton Beach) as well as “newly designed and band-approved outer slip case, as well as a fold-out poster, insert with credits and backstage laminate – all exclusive to this set,” according to The PRP. The re-release is slightly less elusive than the first release of “None More Black,” as 5,000 copies will be released instead of just 1,000.

The box set includes all three of the band’s complete studio albums, World Coming Down, Life Is Killing Me and the aforementioned The Origin of Feces (Not Live at Brighton Beach). The three albums are being split up between six double LP sets, all of which have been re-mastered in order to get the the best possible audio quality. The vinyls will be pressed on green and black mixed colored vinyl which has been approved by the band and they come in six direct to board gatefold jackets for maximum protection and preservation of the vinyls.

The “None More Black” box set will sell for just under two hundred dollars and can be pre-ordered here as well as purchased in 398 of Run Out Groove’s stores when it releases on September 6th.
