Wilco’s music festival the Solid Sound Festival was held this past weekend, boasting a well-curated lineup with Courtney Barnett, The Feelies, Tortoise, The Minus 5 and Jeff Tweedy on the bill. The festival was held at MassMoCA in North Adams, Mass. and saw new music from festival headliner Wilco, who performed two sets over the three-day festival. The first set was on the first day of the festival, with the set being one big Karaoke party. Fans were chosen from the crowd to sing along to some of Wilco’s classics. It then led to fellow festival performer Courtney Barnett to join in. According to Paste Magazine, she performed a live cover of “Handshake Drugs,” from Wilco’s 2004 LP A Ghost Is Born.

His second set that Saturday was also a crowd pleaser. According to the Brooklyn Vegan, Wilco debuted two new songs called “Empty Corner” and “White Wooden Cross”.  The festival also saw Jeff Tweedy join fellow band The Feelies on stage performing a cover of Neil Young’s “Don’t Cry No Tears.” Tweedy then joined Cate Le Bon on stage to perform a few songs with her.

Wilco will be hitting the road later this year in both Europe and North America, concluding with set at their new festival called the Sky Blue Sky Festival in Riviera Maya, Mexico at the top of 2020 along with Courtney Barnett, Jeff Tweedy, Sharon Van Etten, and Kamasi Washington.
