mxdwn PREMIERE: Gringo Star Release New Live Take on “Mister Mystery” from Upcoming Controlled Burn (Live in Atlanta) Release

Atlanta garage rock band Gringo Star are releasing a new live album called Controlled Burn (Live in Atlanta) next month, celebrating 10 years since their debut LP All Y’all. Today, we’re premiering the latest song off of the upcoming live release, “Mister Mystery.”

Controlled Burn (Live in Atlanta) is the band’s first-ever live release and is out July 12 on Baby Robot Records. The album consists of 14 songs and was recorded at The Earl in the East Atlanta Village in September of 2018. “Mr. Mystery” is a song from their album Back To The City, which was released in 2018. So far the band has also released live versions of the tracks “Back to the City” and “Get Closer” and the live record can be preordered on Gringo Star’s Bandcamp page.
