The Official Video for Miley Cyrus’s Positive-Pop Reworking of Nine Inch Nails’ “Head Like A Hole” for Black Mirror Released

Miley Cyrus is feeling own futuristic vibe as she stars in the music video for the song “On a Roll”, which was used in an episode for the newly-acclaimed Netflix show Black Mirror. The music video finds Cyrus performing the song with background dancers as she plays her character Ashley O, the same character she played in the “Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too” episode. The visuals also include clips from throughout the episode as well.

The song “On a Roll” have adapted lyrics that were pulled from the Nine Inch Nails’ track “Head Like a Hole”: “… I’m on a roll/Riding so high, achieving my goals/I’m so stoke on ambition and verve/I’m gonna get what I deserve.”

While the song was purposely made to feature on the show “Black Mirror”, it definitely holds its own weight for a single that could find its way of getting rotation and possibly an electronic remix (I’m going to hope that happens because that would be amazing). Read more about it here on the Pitchfork site.

Kalen Murphy: I was raised across the world so I cannot be grounded to a genre knowing that music is the universal language that makes us move as one. Sometimes I'm Tyler, The Creator with a hint of Donald Glover, other days I can be Tame Impala with a splash of Sylvan Esso. If you're someone that can see colors while listening to a song like me, cheers because we're the last of a dying breed.
