Phantogram Drop Intimate New Single “Into Happiness”

Phantogram the New York duo, Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel released, “Into Happiness” their first song in three years. The band wrote a special letter to fans, noting the song “embodies the personal journey that both of us have taken since we released Three; it’s been a long path, coming out of the darkness and into the light.”

Phantogram is touring North America this summer, kicking off  in Camden, NJ on June 2 and making other stops on the west coast, including Seattle, WA on July 19, Los Angeles on August 3 and Reno, NV on August 16. They will then make other scenic stops across the US including New York’s King Theater on September 5, Washington, D.C.’s The Anthem on September 6, and Atlanta’s Tabernacle on September 9. They will also play festival sets at Life Is Beautiful, Hopscotch Music Festival and others. The full list of tour dates can be found below, and tickets are available HERE.

Phantogram has amassed nearly half-a-billion streams, earned two Gold-Certified singles with “Fall In Love” and “When I’m Small” and has toured with artists like The xx, Muse, M83, Alt-J and more. According to Carter, their music has “lots of rhythms, swirling guitars, spacey keyboards, echoes, airy vocals”. The duo write and record in a remote barn in Upstate New York called Harmonie Lodge.

Their 2016 third full-length, Three, reached heights on the Billboard Top 200 chart (#9) and Billboard Top Albums Sales chart (#5), as the lead single “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” climbed the charts. Three was completed in the wake of Barthel’s sister’s passing due to suicide, a shattering event which brought suicide prevention awareness to the forefront of the band’s consciousness. Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
