Cedric Bixler Zavala Suggests The Mars Volta Reunion Is Happening

The Mars Volta Reunion is happening! Frontman Cedric Bixler-Zavala has confirmed that the band is working on a comeback, via a fan’s comment.

Back in 2013, the band Mars Volta broke up after a falling out between Bixler-Zavala and Rodríguez-López. At the time, Bixler-Zavala commented: “What am I suppose to do be some progressive house wife that’s cool with watching their partner go f**k other bands?”

“The falling out had been four years in the making, so the final announcement on my part was really just to let the children know that Mom and Dad were splitting up.”

A year later, the pair was able to make amends.

A fan stated “I dream with you guys giving TMV a new chapter,” Bixler-Zavala replied, “It’s happening.”

According to consequenceofsound, the tweet above comes a week after Bixler-Zavala tweeted a tweet insinuating that the band was in the studio working on a project.

Almost a month earlier, the frontman revealed he was in the studio with bandmate Omar Rodríguez-López, whom he referred to as “Puerto Rican Bernie Sanders.”
