Watch The Mountain Goats and the Magic Sword On Their Musical Journey through the Dungeons and Dragons Convention Live 2019: The Descent

May 17-19, D&D Live 2019: The Descent, was held in Los Angeles; dubbed as an “immersive entertainment experience”, fans had an opportunity to participate in the latest from the Dungeons & Dragons community. According to Dungeons & Dragons, the new story at this year’s event included three days of “sneak peeks at upcoming products, signings with D&D luminaries, musical performances, unique giveaways, amazing cosplay, and tons of twenty-sided dice rolling critical hits”.

Last year’s award winning event was Stream Of Many Eyes and featured celebrity guest appearances such as Joe Manganiello, who was also an attendee of this year’s sessions. It explored D&D’s Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, mainly focusing on streaming programming to D&D fans. While this years event was held in a mini convention setting, set in D&D’s next adventure view that included more action and information regarding the upcoming storyline from the adventure book Ghosts of Saltmarsh.

Running the sessions were high profile D&D designers Chris Perkins, Jeremy Crawford, and Kate Welch from Wizards of the Coast. Key players who participated included Deborah Ann Woll, Chris Mercer, Mathew Lillard, and Joe Manganiello. The weekend concluded with performances from The Mountain Goats, The Magic Sword, Jason Charles Miller, The Library Bards, and Chris Funk.
