The Hollywood Vampires released a brand new single called “The Boogieman Surprise.” The group’s upcoming new album Rise is set for release on June 21 via earMUSIC. The release of “The Boogieman Surprise” comes after a successful seven-city North America tour last week with stops including the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Steven Tyler, the frontman for Aerosmith, and long-time music partner of Joe Perry showed up for a special appearance in addition to Marilyn Manson. Johnny Depp sang for David Bowie’s “Heroes” and the new track in which the entire group delivered a mastered performance of rock ’n’ roll.
“The Boogieman Surprise” has been included in the group’s live set since their 2018 world tour and is a crowd favorite of every live show. It was written by the band and features the extreme chemistry between Perry, Depp and Cooper. The song showcases a laid back groove, grinding guitars and smooth strings to create an epic, ominous, outsider anthem with Cooper’s vocals sounding as fierce as ever.
The forthcoming album Rise is the band’s second album and features some of the purest, unapologetic and most enjoyable rock and roll of the year. It consists mainly of original material written by the band in addition to some covers of songs originally written and recorded by fellow musicians who died too young.
