Rock band Greta Van Fleet has announced tour dates for fall 2019, coming off of iHeartRado Music Awards’ 2019 Rock Song of the Year for “Safari Song” and four Grammy nominations this season, including a win for Best Rock Album for their first album in 2017, From the Fires. Founded in 2012 by the Kiszka brothers, Greta Van Fleet is a fairly new group, with only one album and two EPs, but they have succeeded in something few new bands are able to do: creating authentic rock in the 21st century.

Greta Van Fleet is set to go on tour this fall for three weeks with supporting group Shannon and the Clams, an indie garage punk band from Oakland. The news of these fall tour dates comes after their already-announced summer tour, which the band began this past week in Atlanta.

As for the future of the band, bassist Sam Kiszka commented: “We were talking, and I think we all decided earlier this month that we need to do a record as soon as possible. So the one thing I can say right now is that you can definitely expect album [two] in 2019…We’re gonna make the music that we want to hear, and we’re going to grow musically.” So, despite their busy schedule this year, they will hopefully release a new album by the end of the year. Until then, the band has an extensive list of shows across the U.S. for those too excited to wait.
