American rock band Fruit Bats debuts new song “Gold Past Life” from their forthcoming album Gold Past Life, set to be released June 21st.
According to Pastemagazine, singer-songwriter and Fruit Bats leader Eric D. Johnson says that the new track addresses “love and fate and the meaningless random brutal nature of the universe. Y’know, small stuff and big stuff!”
The site continues, “Despite the vintage-sounding peppiness of “Gold Past Life,” Johnson’s assured songwriting keeps memories at a distance to avoid the risk of glorifying nostalgia.”
