The Montreal based politically driven rock group, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, were on the road a lot last year and they aren’t showing any signs of slowing down in 2019. They have announced a tour that lasts the duration of August with stops in eighteen different cities across several different states in both the U.S. and Canada.
With Godspeed You! Black Emperor planning on hitting the road in both the United States and Canada this summer they may be coming to a city near you. If you’re lucky enough to live close to one of the eighteen cities they will be playing shows in, or you wouldn’t mind traveling to attend a show, you can snag your ticket this Friday, May 17th, as reported by Exclaim.
The tour will feature music from the latest album Godspeed You! Black Emperor has put out Luciferian Towers, from 2017 which mxdwn previously reported on, claiming that the album was a bit different that what Godspeed You! Black Emperor usually does, but praising it for its politically charged messages and more energetic tone than the band usually strives for. The tour will kick off in Nashville, Tennessee and will continue around the United States, hitting major U.S. cities like Los Angeles, Seattle, and Atlanta, before ending up back in the band’s home country, Canada.
