Philadelphia’s This Is Hardcore Festival has announced its 2019 lineup. the festival will bring a diverse lineup of punk and hardcore groups to the city’s Franklin Music Hall from July 26-28.
Headlining this year’s three days festival are metalcore revival band Code Orange, recently-revived early 00s emocore sensations Saves the Day and NYC hardcore pioneers Gorilla Biscuits. Gorilla Biscuits will headline on Friday, Saves the Day on Saturday and Code Orange on Sunday.
Other notable artists that will be playing the festival include Cro-Mags “JM” (the version of the band that features John Joseph and Mackie Jayson), Agnostic Front, OFF! and All Out War.
During the festival there will be several special sets. These sets include Agnostic Front performing their album Victims in Pain to celebrate it’s 35th anniversary, 100 Demons will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of In the Eyes of the Lord with Bruce Lepage and Death Threat will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Last Days.
OFF! is the hardcore supergroup fronted by Keith Morris of Circle Jerks and Black Flag fame, guitarist Dimitri Coats of Burning Brides, Steve McDonald of Red Kross and Melvins, and Mario Rubalcaba of Earthless, Hot Snakes, Thingy, Clikatat Ikatowi, and just about every San Diego underground band.
Code Orange recently released their Roadrunner Records debut in 2017, titled The Hurt Will Go On. It is the band’s third album, following their first two albums Love is Love/Return to Dust and I Am King in 2012 and 2014, respectively, via Deathwish.
