House of Vans Chicago has announced their 2019 house party lineup this summer with artists such as Vince Staples, The Breeders and The Rapture. House of Vans Chicago, along with House of Vans London, is a permanent venue for the Vans House Parties series that features art, music and street culture in pop-ups across the world, free to the community. This year’s lineup will include The Rapture in one of their only reunion shows.
The venue is a skate park and concert hall that epitomizes that Vans “Off the Wall” brand. The lineup will include rock, alt and rap performances. Each day has one headlining artist who specially curates the lineup for the day that they are performing, so each day has a group of performers indicative of the taste of the headlining artist. August 17 will feature a currently secret special guest artist that is yet to be announced by the group.
The series will begin on May 31, with RSVPs opening on May 15. The small venue boasts a one-of-a-kind experience that is only fully revealed upon entrance to the few that are able to get tickets. The shows will conclude on August 24, with punk band Converge headlining the show.
