Carly Rae Jepsen Feels It “Too Much” in New Song

Carly Rae Jepson, former contestant of Canadian Idol and singer of hits such as “Call Me Maybe” and “I Really Like You,” has released a new song, “Too Much.” Carly Rae sings about the trials of living each moment to excess, dancing, partying and loving too much. The song is off of the singer’s upcoming album Dedication, which is set to be released on May 17. “Too Much” is the fifth song that has been released from the album, following “Julien,” “Now That I Found You,” “Party for One” and “No Drug Like Me.” The singer has also released videos for “Now That I Found You,” and “Party for One.”

Carly Rae has debuted both a new sound and new look for this new album, with upbeat synth and dance influences and a blonde bob to match. Dedicated is Carly Rae Jepson’s fourth studio album and her first album since E*MO*TION, which was released in 2015. The singer will be touring the U.S. this summer following the full release of Dedicated. The Dedicated Tour will be Jepson’s third tour, following the Gimmie Love tour in 2015-16 and The Summer Kiss Tour in 2013. Jepson, a known activist for the LGBT+ community, has announced that $1 from every ticket sale will be going to The Trevor Project, an organization focused on suicide prevention in LGBT+ youth.
