Ready to fight the establishment? You better be: ska-punk trailblazers Choking Victim are uniting for an exclusive show at the Market Hotel in Brooklyn on Friday, June 14th. Many friends will be supporting, including The Pist, All Torn Up, Trashy, and Eve Minor. Doors open early at 6:00pm, with the show beginning at 7:00pm. The night is for all ages to enjoy, and tickets run for $20 each.

Choking Victim are absolutely not newbies to the punk world – in fact, Choking Victim’s frontman is known as the mastermind behind several of New York City’s premier ska-punk hybrid groups, including Leftover Crack, which rose to prominence back in the ‘00s. Scott Sturgeon, or Stza, proudly continues to serve as the main spokesperson and songwriter for his two brainchildren. Choking Victim released three EPs and one full-length LP before they disbanded in 1999 – although they would go on to reunite several times to tour and perform shows in NYC.

Joining Choking Victim for this show will be four bands with a bit of history to them as well. The Pist, All Torn Up, Trashy, and Eve Minor all have deep roots in politically-driven hardcore punk rock, which falls right in line with the kind of music that Choking Victim thrives off of.

Get your tickets while you can – for diehard fans and metal enthusiasts alike, this will be a show for the ages.

Melissa Aiello: Hi there, nice to meet you! My name is Melissa and I am a 24-year-old passionate lover of all things related to music and live entertainment. I've been singing since the second grade, and playing guitar for the past five years. I grew up in a fairly musical household, with my grandfather breaking out his accordion and starting sing-a-longs at every family gathering. It was here that I began falling in love with music and its power to change moods, emotions, and lives. My taste in music goes far and wide - you name it, I'll (probably) listen to it. My hundreds of Spotify playlists include everything from Biggie to ABBA to the Jonas Brothers (thank GOD they're back together) to Dolly Parton and everything in-between. I aim for my little corner of the internet to spread love and positivity for all this beautiful music, and give you the opportunity to see or hear artists you may otherwise have not heard of.
