MSKRKRFT Release Glitchy New Song “City Violence”

MSTRKRFT, the electronic-noise duo consisting of Jesse F. Keeler of Death from Above and Al-P, has released a new song. The six minute song is a hypnotically noisy song, with pounding bass and synthesizers along with distorted vocals. Check it out below:

On Facebook, the band left a post adding some context to the seemingly random new song. It’s described as the first of many releases that will come out every month. “City Violence” is being released on Oro Records.

The band’s last record was called Operator and was released in July 2016. It featured many collaborators, including Ian Svenonius of Nation of Ulysses/the Make-Up/Chain and the Gang on “Party Line.” Sonny Kaye made an appearance on “Priceless.” Around the time of that release, mxdwn spoke with Al-P at SXSW.
