Last year, an anonymous woman sued KISS’ Gene Simmons for alleged sexual battery. The same woman now wants the case against Simmons to be dropped.
Back in 2016, the woman, also known as Jane Doe, was an employee of Simmons’ Rock & Brews restaurant. It was during this time in which she claimed that Simmons allegedly groped her. In detail, she alleged that Simmons “reached over and forcefully placed his hand on her vagina, completely covering it.” She also claims that this is not the first time that she witness Simmons behave in an inappropriate manner with a woman.
As of seven days ago, the woman has filed a request for dismissal in Los Angeles. According to Loudwire, the woman’s request to drop the case will more than likely mean that Simmons cannot be retried for the same offense again, making the lawsuit “over and done with.”
Settlements have been reached in the past between Simmons and other sexual misconduct accusers such as a broadcast journalist. In 2018, Simmons settled with the journalist after she filed a sexual harassment suit against the musician for acting rudely towards her at Fox News headquarters in New York. This led to a lifetime ban from the channel.
