Frou Frou, the electronic duo comprised of Imogen Heap and Guy Sigsworth just released new music for the first time in fifteen years. The duo supposedly broke up in 2004 but came back together to tour in 2018 for the Mycelia World Tour. Their new single, “Guitar Song (Live)” was recently released by the label We Are Hear and the single does not disappoint. The song was recorded live during Frou Frou’s set at the Mycelia Tour. It is not like most of their past music but is a vibrant song reminding listener’s of their creative power as a duo. The beautiful guitar chords and Heap’s vocals make the song have a beautiful angelic tone. The ballad will make you sway in the summer wind and will put a smile on your face. The melodies are beautifully arranged and it has a dreamy rustic vibe. It’s about life-long friends who discover they’re soulmates. It’s a beautiful song about love and togetherness. Heap has written and produced four solo albums and has been nominated for five Grammys for her collaborative work other artists.
The Mycelia World Tour was created by Heap to create a fair and sustainable musical ecosystem where artists are treated more fairly and to have the chance to collaborate freely. She kicked off the tour in Europe of 2018 and will continue the tour in North America. There are around 30 artists who take part in the festival and who share their music freely. The festival will provide panels, kids concerts and even workshops where artists can share their projects. Frou Frou will continue of the Mycelia World tour in North America.
