Kurt Vile Announces Summer 2019 Tour Dates

Indie rock artist Kurt Vile will be undergoing a massive tour this summer, after concluding his set of Australian and New Zealand tours this spring. These new set of shows will see the former War on Drugs guitarist travel from the UK and continental Europe all the way to multiple venues across the United States.

Vile will also be making a few stops across numerous prominent music festivals, including Glastonbury Fest, in Glastonbury UK, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain and Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois. After wrapping up his Australia shows in late April, Kurt Vile will begin his European tour on May 26, in London, UK.

In addition to this tour announcement, Kurt Vile has released a few singles on the Spotify music streaming service, entitled Spotify Singles.  These tracks include an acoustic and stripped back version of Bottle It In stand-out single “Loading Zones,” as well as a cover of The Rolling Stones’ “No Expectations.”

Bottle It In was released last October, showcasing the artist’s remarkable ability to blend indie rock, blues, country and folk music into his own unique sound. His lyrics, which are cryptic and up to the audiences interpretation have also made him stand out among many other artists as well on the project.

“Bottle It In is quirky, poetic, idiosyncratic, honest and emotional. It’s not perfect, as Vile seems to occasionally lose himself in his own thoughts, but it is a compelling offering nonetheless,” mxdwn reviewer John Coakley summarized in their review. “Vile’s cryptic lyricism and eclectic mix of indie rock, country, folk and blues make Bottle It In worth a listen.”
