Robyn @ Barclays Center 7/19

Over two decades later, she’s still going strong: Swedish pop superstar Robyn is on tour to support her latest 2018 release Honey, and she’s stopping in the great borough of Brooklyn for a show at the Barclays Center on Friday, July 19th. This show for all ages begins at 7:00pm, and has tickets starting from $71 and going up to $280 and over per seat.

Robyn’s got quite a career history, despite only being 39 years old. She started making and releasing music in Sweden at the young age of 15 through a 1994 record deal with RCA Records. Three years later, she broke into the US music industry with two hit singles, both which reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. As she grew older and her sound matured, she racked up a further series of accolades, including five Grammy nominations. She is widely known in the world of music for redefining the genre of pop during a time where most pop music was viewed as unoriginal and poorly realized; Robyn’s music truly changed the game in this manner by providing a fresh, optimistic point of view injected with plenty of female empowerment.

Robyn’s latest album, Honey, was released on October 26, 2018 to wide critical acclaim and acceptance, proven to be an expertly crafted work of art well worth the eight-year wait. On July 19th, expect no less than a mirror of this perfection; slide on your dancing shoes and prepare yourself for a show filled with nothing but pure, epic magnificence.

Melissa Aiello: Hi there, nice to meet you! My name is Melissa and I am a 24-year-old passionate lover of all things related to music and live entertainment. I've been singing since the second grade, and playing guitar for the past five years. I grew up in a fairly musical household, with my grandfather breaking out his accordion and starting sing-a-longs at every family gathering. It was here that I began falling in love with music and its power to change moods, emotions, and lives. My taste in music goes far and wide - you name it, I'll (probably) listen to it. My hundreds of Spotify playlists include everything from Biggie to ABBA to the Jonas Brothers (thank GOD they're back together) to Dolly Parton and everything in-between. I aim for my little corner of the internet to spread love and positivity for all this beautiful music, and give you the opportunity to see or hear artists you may otherwise have not heard of.
