Grimes has revealed more details about her upcoming new album,  Miss Anthropocene. The new album is set to discuss climate change and making it fun. According to NME, it will flip the narrative on climate change in bid to amp up attention on the issue. She sat down with Crack Magazine discussing the  album, stating “The way I figure it is that climate change sucks and no one wants to read about it because the only time you hear about it is when you’re getting guilted.” I wanted to make climate change fun.” She continued to say “That’s why I’m making this pro-climate change album, reasoning that by presenting the matter in an “evil” form may help her to “find a way to make that useful to society.”

In the same interview, Grimes also mentions that potential to release an EP before the LP.“I just made a bunch of music this month and I’ll probably drop that as an EP first, honestly,” she said. “Just so I can clear my mind to then go back and finish the goddamn album.” The singer recently released a new track called “Pretty Dark {Demo}” with its accompanying DIY style video. Miss Anthropocene will serve as the follow up to her critically acclaimed, high fidelity ranked album Art Angels, released in 2015.
