The legendary rock band, Crazy Horse has been creating music since 1969 and is still making rock jams to this day. Neil Young is rejoining Crazy Horse after their last release of Psychedelic Pill in 2012. After Frank “Poncho” Sampedro retired, Neil Young has been revamping the band, Crazy Horse in small theaters across California. Sampedro told Uncut, “I’m 70 and I’m retired now and want to stay home. Isn’t it sad you’re not in Crazy Horse?’ I don’t think of it that way. I’ll always be in Crazy Horse. I’m as big a part of Crazy Horse as anyone that’s ever been in it”. Sampedro will always be a member of Crazy Horse and a crucial part of the shaping of their sound. According to Rolling Stone, Nils Lofgren, the legendary guitarist replaced Sampedro and is currently making music with Crazy Horse. Nils Lofgren made music with Crazy Horse in 1971, played with the band on Tonight’s The Night and helped during their 1973 tour. He has worked with bands like E Street Band and Ringo Starr. Lofgren is thrilled to work with his old friends and can’t wait to play his gigs with Crazy Horse.
>Neil Young is not sure when the new Crazy Horse album will be released due to himself and Nils Lofgren being on the road this summer. Nils Lofgren is launching his U.S tour starting in May and Neil Young will be performing solo and with Promise of The Real this summer. Neil Young has been working with Promise of The Real on their last few albums, but will slowly make the transition to focus more on Crazy Horse. The new album will have even new incredible songs that will blow fans’ minds.
