The classic rock band Van Halen has been performing since 1972 and are still active today with members; David Lee Roth, Alex Van Halen, Eddie Van Halen, and Wolfgang Van Halen. Rumors surrounding Van Halen Camp’s reunion started around December of 2018 when David Lee Roth, the lead singer of Van Halen Camp made a statement to the press and mxdwn also announced other rumors surrounding Van Halen’s comeback for 2019. On April 9th, during an interview with Howard Stern, Michael Anthony stated that he was recently contacted by Van Halen Camp’s team and management. According to Consequence of Sound, Michael Anthony, the former bassist for Van Halen Camp said that they contacted him in October about creating a reunion, but nothing really took off from there. He shared that the conversation was short and nothing really came from it. The last time Anthony was able to speak to the band was their last performance in 2004. He recently replied to a fan’s Instagram comment about the reunion tour in which he stated, “VH tour not gonna happen.” Anthony made it clear that the classic era lineup reunion could only happen if they were able to book tour dates around his current project Sammy Hagar & The Circle. The long lingering rumors of a Van Halen Camp reunion have come to an end with Michael Anthony’s comments and will not take place in 2019.
Sammy Hagar & The Circle will release their debut album, Space Between on May 10th. The band will be touring this spring and summer starting on April 19th in Reno, Nevada. The tour will end on May 22nd in Michigan. Van Halen Camp has not released any tour information for 2019, but the legendary rock band will be performing May 17th in Redwood City, California.
