Khalid Shares Stunning New Music Video for “Free Spirit”

Khalid is a new upcoming pop artist who has been breaking ground since the start of his music career. His album American Teen made waves with singles “Location” and “Young Dumb & Broke”. He recently released Free Spirit on April 5th that has seventeen new incredible songs. He will be performing at Coachella the next two upcoming weekends and will have two more shows in Alabama and Florida.

The amazing pop artist has recently released a new video for his single “Free Spirit”. His new video makes you feel free as you watch teens on a road trip living freely. There is a group of teenagers on the road who are all laughing and smiling as they all hang out in nature. Khalid himself stands in front of a van that has the words “free spirit” written on it as he puts his arms out and moves them slowly. There is continuous imagery of them reaching out their arms and feeling the air around them. They are smoking weed, skating on open roads, and driving with their heads out of the window. There’s a diverse group of teens living their lives freely with no one telling them what to do or who to be.

The video is not a lonesome journey, but one that comes with friends and a sense of family. They are holding each other and embracing each other throughout the video, showing how one can still be free even with others around them. The song is soft and slow matching the video perfectly. This video is like a daydream that reminds you to love the simple things in life. The video is a reflection of teenagers want to be free and surrounded by friends. The short music video is a teaser to his newly released short film”Free Spirit” which is why there is imagery throughout the video that does not make complete sense without the context of the short film.  Khalid releases yet another aesthetically beautiful video that takes his music to new levels.
