Matlock has been in a number of bands in addition to the Sex Pistols including Rich Kids, Iggy Pop, and The Faces. While with the Sex Pistols Matlock wrote a number of iconic songs including their most famous song “Pretty Vacant” and other big ones like “Anarchy in the UK,” and “God Save the Queen.” While with Rich Kids Matlock contributed to the album Ghosts of Princes in Towers which included a few punk hits such as “Put You in the Picture.” Later in his career Matlock went solo and put out work with a whole new sound including his famous album Who’s He Think He Is When He’s At Home? in the 90s. The album, known for its intensity and heavy involvement with guitar, showcased his skills and led him to release albums with The Philistines.

Most recently, in 2018 Matlock released his solo album Good to Go, which is arguably his most unique and groundbreaking work. Matlock was also a guest on Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly European tour in 2018. Additionally, he played to a sold out club with other rock greats including Earl Slick and Chris Spedding.

Glen Matlock is a staple of rock culture and continues to grow as a musician as he seemingly endlessly reinvents his sound. You won’t want to miss seeing him this summer as it may be your final opportunity!
