Blur briefly reunited in March for a surprise performance at an Albarn-organized Africa Express event: The Circus” show in East London, Pitchfork reports. Three songs were performed in the concert, including “Clover Over Dover,” “Tender,” and “Song 2,” with the joint of the London Community Gospel Choir and Malian singer-songwriter Rokia Traoré, reported by Pitchfork. “Clover Over Dover” opened the band’s first performance in four years. It was one of the tracks in Blur’s breakthrough album, Parklife, released in April 1994, The reunion is historic and long-awaited moment since 2015’s record of The Magic Whip, an album with a Hong Kong-made documentary.
Formed in London in 1988, Blur is the leader in Brit-pop and emerged as the most popular English rock band in the mid-’90s. The group consists of singer/keyboardist Damon Albarn, guitarist/singer Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. Band member Damon Albarn has been working on his project, Africa Express in 2018, meanwhile he revealed the chances that the reunion of Blur is never not possibility. Now the surprise in his music events proves it.
