Lamb of God Announce Ashes of the Wake – 15th Anniversary Edition Featuring Three Unreleased Demos for May 2019 Release

Rock icons, Lamb of God will release a 15th Anniversary Edition double-vinyl of their classic album, Ashes Of The Wake on May 3, 2019. The album will include four non-LP tracks, including the B-Side “Another Nail For Your Coffin” and three previously unreleased demos. Each double-vinyl will include a download card, and is manufactured on limited Green Smoke vinyl.

Guitarist Mark Morton reflects on the album release 15 years ago, “It was our first release on a major label and our first to be aggressively marketed through mainstream channels. I remember feeling a mixture of pressure and confidence, along with a pervasive uncertainty as to whether our brand of bottled insanity would translate to a larger audience. Ultimately, I think our biggest strength in that situation was that we never let pressure, expectation or the potential for failure effect our creative process.”

Lamb of God will perform at Mexico’s Domination Festival on Cinco De Mayo weekend May 3-4 at theAutódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, Mexico.  The band recently announced that their upcoming album is likely set for a Christmas release. Chris Adler stated, “The band is in no rush to complete the album. So, it’s certainly possible that we’re able to fine tune everything prior to that, but I think it’s probably more likely that it’s going to get recorded in the fall of ’19, and hopefully out for Christmas presents for all your kids.”

Morton also commented on the commemorative album, “For Ashes Of The Wake to be remembered and celebrated 15 years later is a true honor. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that it is incredibly special to know that these songs have touched people’s lives in a positive way and that they are still relevant so many years later.”

In August 2018, Lamb of God revealed a Heath Bradley-animated video for their cover of the Ministry hit, “Jesus Built My Hotrod” off of their full-length covers album Legion: XX. The album is a collection of songs where they perform under Burn the Priest in celebration of their upcoming 20th anniversary.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
