The brand new track “I Don’t Belong In This Club” was released accompanied by a music video by Atlantic recording artists Why Don’t We and Macklemore. The song is available now at all digital retailers and streaming services. This collaboration came as an overnight surprise to fans. The companion video for the singe was directed by Jason Koenig. The video definitely demonstrates the groups’ funny personalities with its ironic take of getting into a club.
“I Don’t Belong In This Club” arrives on opening night of the band’s 8 Letters Tour, which kicked off in Phoenix, AZ. It also follows the group’s latest single “8 Letters” which hit the Top 20 at Pop radio and boasts over 130 million global audio and video streams to date.
This tour is the group’s biggest headlining tour to date and includes sold out shows in cities like Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago and New York City, where they sold out Radio City Music Hall in only two hours. Additionally, the group Why Don’t We recently announced a second leg of the tour to run from July through August.
Why Don’t We, a band of social media start that formed in 2016, is best known for their prolific creative output. “I Don’t Belong In This Club” marks the third song and video release for the group in 2019. The year kicked off for them with “Big Plans” which made it to number one on the iTunes all genres chart and hit over six million views on YouTube. Following this was last month’s track “Cold in LA.”
Why Don’t We recently performed their track “8 Letters” and “Big Plans” on the outdoor stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live! in front of one of the largest audiences they have seen. Watch out for the group as they are embarking on the tour March through August. Watch their new video collaboration with Macklemore below.
