Pop icon Adam Ant just announced his 2019 United States tour where for the first time he will perform his landmark solo album, Friend or Foe. The tour will take place from September 4 to October 1.
His album Friend or Foe was his first release as a solo artist and includes three hit singles. The big hit “Goody Two Shoes” reached the number one spot in the UK in addition to being number one in Australia and a hit number six on the USA Billboard Chart. This is Adam’s most successful solo album to this day and made number five in the UK while also being certified gold album status on both sides of the Atlantic after selling over 100,000 copies. In the U.S. it reached number 16 on the Billboard album chart and in turn Adam Ant became a household name, resulting in a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and an MTV award for “Sexiest Man Alive.”
Adam Ant’s musical career, which started with his early punk days in London, includes a total of nine albums and 22 chart-topping singles worldwide. At one point he had eight singles in the UK Top 40 in one week alone. His debut album was titles “Dirk Wears White Sox” and was the first number one album in the UK Independent Albums Chart.
