Loveloud Music Festival Announces 2019 Lineup Including Laura Jane Grace, Tegan & Sara and PVRIS

Utah’s Loveloud Music Festival has announced the lineup for its upcoming 2019 event. Loveloud, which has ran since 2017, is a festival dedicated to helping LGBTQ+ youth feel accepted and donates proceeds to a variety of LGBTQ+ charities around the country. This year, the one day festival will take place June 29th at the USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, Utah. Some of the performing acts include punk rock singer Laura Jane Grace, indie rock duo Tegan & Sara and electronic rock band PVRIS. These three acts are just part of the full day of performers scheduled for the Loveloud Music Festival.

Laura Jane Grace will be attending the festival alongside her current musical group, named Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers. The band features Grace along with drummer Atom Willard and bassist Marc Jacob Hudson. The three released their debut album, Bought to Rot, this past November. The project was the first major undertaking by the group and was seen as the start of a new chapter in Grace’s prolific career in punk music. The group has been since the album releasing preparing for a tour in support of the project; one that is set to start this upcoming weekend. The tour is what brings the group to Loveloud, where they are sure to put on a fantastic show.

Sister duo Tegan & Sara are also slated to play at the festival. These two have been working together for a long time, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Under Feet Like Ours, coming up later this year. The turning point in Tegan & Sara’s career, however, didn’t come until the release of their album So Jealous in 2004, and their 2007 album The Con, which gained the duo a much larger following. Supported by hits such as “Where Does the Good Go” and “Back In Your Head,” the albums brought a lot of attention to Tegan & Sara; attention they have used to garner more success since. The duo will sure to give one of the most entertaining performances of the evening.

Another act confirmed to perform at the upcoming Loveloud Festival is electronic-influenced rock band PVRIS. The group first rose to prominence in 2014 with their debut album White Noise, and followed up with a deluxe version of the project in 2016. In 2017 PVRIS released their second full length album, All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell, which brought even more acclaim to the band. The songs “What’s Wrong” and “Heaven” becoming popular hits. Since then the band has been performing at various festivals and events around the world. Overall, Loveloud is looking to be one of the bigger events coming to Utah this summer.
