Longstanding rock band, Baroness, has officially released the cover art and title for their upcoming album. The album, titled Gold & Grey, will be the group’s sixth record. Throughout the past, Baroness has kept each of their album covers within certain artistic style, but the group said in their announcement post that Gold & Grey will be the last in the sequence. So far the band has delivered beautiful artwork along with each of their albums, and the newly revealed album cover is no exception. Shared in a post made on Instagram, the new album art is some of the group’s most elaborate and intricate so far. The first song from the new album has already been shared with fans live, being performed last week at one of the band’s recent tour stops. The track, titled “Borderlines,” is the only new track from the album to be released so far.
Right now Baroness is busy co-headlining a winter tour with fellow band Deafheaven, with shows taking place throughout the months of March and early April. After their current set of shows, Baroness has also been scheduled to perform at the Decibel Beer and Metal Festival; taking place on April 13-14. With the upcoming release of Gold & Grey and a full slate of tour dates, Baroness has a very busy season ahead of them. While the release date for Gold & Grey has yet to be announced, they promised fans it would be out soon in their reveal of the album title.
