Once Upon a Time in LBC Announces 2019 Lineup Featuring Snoop Dogg, Warren G and Keith Sweat

Months are turning into weeks as people anxiously await the return of the Once Upon a Time music festival. The Long Beach music festival just announced their 2019 lineup. Big hitters in the hip-hop world like Snoop Dogg, Warren G, and Keith Sweat among others are expected to perform.

This summer, the festival is set to happen on July 27th. Once Upon a Time made its debut in 2017 and was one of the first festivals of its nature. In the past, established hip-hop artists like the Wu – Tang Clan and 50 Cent took the Once Upon a Time stage. Other returning rappers expected to perform this year include YG and Baby Bash.

This year, press telegram announced  that Snoop Dogg is headlining for the festival. Snoop Dogg also tweeted about the event last Monday. The iconic rapper has never performed on the Once Upon a Time stage and it should be an event you don’t want to miss.

Warren G, a long beach native, will also be performing at the festival for the first time. The rap pioneer’s most famous work “Regulate” is a jazz-funk inspired jam that reached #2 on the billboard charts. His easy to listen to rap is iconic and has a similar sound to many of Snoop Dogg’s works. Warren G got his start in the rap group 213 which he formed with Snoop Dogg. Rap connoisseur’s will be stoked to see both Warren G and Snoop Dogg perform on the same stage.

Another exciting edition to the Once Upon a Time festival will be R&B star Keith Sweat. His most classic tracks include “I Want Her”, “Make it Last Forever”, and “Make You Sweat”. His popular single “Come and Get With Me” features Snoop Dogg as well and was released in 1998. His signature whining voice sings of romantic relationships and his music has earned itself a spot in the R&B canon.

The Game will also be performing his album The Documentary. This was The Game’s breakout album and it received mass amounts of critical acclaim. Equally as exciting will be performances by rap legend Too Short and DMX who will be doing a full album set of It’s Dark and Hell is Hot. Other big ones to look out for include Bone Thugs n Harmony, Nipsey Hussle, and Blueface.

Tickets for the festival go on sale this Friday and it’s sure to be a once in a lifetime event.
