During their March 9 show at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, folk and alternative rock band Mumford & Sons performed an unexpected cover of the legendary Nine Inch Nails’ song, “Hurt”. Mumford & Sons are currently touring the United States promoting their latest album, Delta.
Consequence of Sound reports how the British band paid homage to the 25thanniversary of The Downward Spiral, which is Nine Inch Nails’ second studio album that includes the iconic song. It was only fitting that they did it in Cleveland, which was where Trent Reznor moved to after dropping out of college and where he formed Nine Inch Nails. Check out fan footage from Mumford & Sons’ show.
Late last year, Treznor surprised fans at a Los Angeles Show with a semi-reunion of the How to Destroy Angels project that was last seen in 2014. Along with Atticus Ross from his band, Reznor is also set to score new Amy Adams film, The Woman in the Window, and has hinted at new material for Nine Inch Nails.
