After a long wait, the long running indie rock band Built to Spill finally announced their tour dates for their North American tour Keep it Like a Secret 20th Anniversary. The tour kicks off Summer 2019 and will be celebrating the anniversary of their iconic album Keep it Like a Secret.
The tour will begin in Missoula, Minnesota on June 22nd of 2019 and end in Sonoma, California on November 23rd of 2019. The band will be visiting Minneapolis, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles among other cities.
The album Keep it Like a Secret was released in 1998 by Warner Brother Records. It is Built to Spill’s fourth and most popular studio album and was met with critical acclaim. Over the years the album has become increasingly popular and adored by fans all around the world. Famous songs off the album include “Carry the Zero”, “The Plan”, and “You Were Right”. “Carry the Zero” begins with its well known guitar line reminiscent of classic rock bands, and it’s classic off tune guitar warbles give the song it’s lovable character. “The Plan” has an epic relationship between the bass and guitar that makes the song an easy one to listen to. “You Were Right” features the most famous lyrics from musicians and groups like Jimi Hendrix, and The Doors, making the song one of the most engrossing ones on the album.
Built to Spill got their start in 1995 when they signed on with Warner Brothers Records. Their first studio album with Warner Brothers Records was Perfect from Now on. The most recent album Untethered Moon was released in 2015. After the group created six albums they made the decision to leave Warner Brothers Records.
