Kevin Morby Announces New Album Oh My God for 2019 Release and Shares New Video for “No Halo”

Los Angeles based Kevin Morby will release his new album Oh My God on April 26 this year via Dead Oceans. Fans were also treated when he shared a new track and video from the album titled “No Halo.”

The indie singer and songwriter currently has four albums out, the last being City Music which was released in 2017. Oh My God was recorded with producer Sam Cohen in Brooklyn. Recording sessions started all the way back in winter of 2017. Cohen plays a large role in bringing his composition towards a more stripped down palette. Morby describes the work as a concept album “exploring an outsider’s view of the human experience in terms of religion.”

Morby will embark on a tour throughout North American and Europe this spring and summer to promote the new album. He will be joined by drummer Nick Kinsey, bassist Cyrus Gengras, Cohen on guitar, keyboardist Jared Samuel, saxophonist Cochemea Gastelum Alecia Chakour and Lauren Balthrop on vocals.

The video for “No Halo” presents the work of filmmaker Chris Good. Viewers are able to see the noir-rock vibes featured in the track.
