The Cincinnati rock band The National has announced they will be performing a series of “unique events” in the most popular cities around the world. “A Special Evening with The National” will kick off in Paris and move onto London, New York City, Toronto and Los Angeles, all in the month of April.

The band consists of Matt Berninger on the vocals, two brothers: Aaron on guitar, bass and piano and Bryce Dessner on guitar and piano, Scott on bass and guitar and Bryan Devendorf on the drums. The band has established their talent in the past two decades, from winning a Grammy for their 2017 album Sleep Well Beast, the album coming at #2 on the Billboard Top 200, to receiving a Golden Globe nomination for their work on the score for 2015 film Revenant.

The band has never stopped to look back then, and they won’t now. They’re here to make their name known for years to come.

Michael Izquierdo: I'm a third-year student at The New School studying Journalism & Design in order to tell stories that are often misrepresented or unreported on. I want to take my writing and report on stories within the LGBTQ+ and Latinx community. In terms of music, play me a smooth jazz tune, an upbeat pop song, or an unheard indie artist and I'm sure I'll become infatuated by the music. I am always here to share someone else's story, to uplift a voice in any community.
