The Drums Get Sentimental in New Video for “626 Bedford Avenue”

It’s just over a month until New York band The Drums release their latest album, Brutalism on April 5. Today, the band has shared the latest single from the album, compact piece of alternative pop called “626 Bedford Avenue.” Along with the new song, the band has confirmed additional tour dates for 2019, which extend the tour from the end of the first leg in late May until early August. You can buy tickets for the tour on The Drums’ website.

“626 Bedford Avenue” follows “Body Chemsitry” as singles to be released from Brutalism. The song’s title sets the stage for this tale of vulnerability, with frontman Jonny Pierce singing “626 Bedford Avenue / I think I regret / That night of kissing you / Baby, let’s have a conversation / And god forbid we have a connection.” As he describes in a statement, the song is about making yourself emotionally open to someone and the frustration that results when they don’t reciprocate due to some sort of insecurity.

3. “626 Bedford Avenue”
4. “Brutalism”
