Brujeria Bashes Trump In New Song “Amaricon Czar”

The metal band hailing from Mexico, Bujeria, bashed President Trump in new song “Amaricon Czar.” This single is a follow up to their infamous Viva Presidente Trump! seven inch.

The band’s most recent album Pocho Aztlan, released via Roadrunner, is the first to come out since the 2000 release of Brujerizmo. It was recorded over the course of many years and at several studios around the globe and the final result was mixed by Russ Russel. This is the group’s first album in 16 years. The title translates to “Wasted Promise Land” and comes from a combination of Aztlán and the term pocho, a word which native Mexicans use to refer to their counterparts born in the States. The frontman of the band, Brujo, has experience with this word due to being a man caught in both the world of Mexico and the United States. Through the power of Brujeria, he has been able to transcend both scenarios.

In addition to the release, Brujeria also announced a 23-date European tour for May of 2019. It will be kicked off at Netherlands Deathfest on May 3. They will perform with special guests Venomous Concept and the opening support will be Aggression and Sangre.

Brujeria was formed in 1989 in Los Angeles, California and was originated by members Juan Brujo, Fantasma, Dino Cazares and Billy Gould. Later more members joined. There have been many times since their formation that the band has taken a hiatus due to members leaving or being involved with other bands. Their songs are sung in Spanish and focus on themes of Satanism, seem immigration and politics. Just as their song “Amaricon Czar” suggets, they portray a heavy anti-American stance. A lot of Brujeria songs are also true stories.
