Popular record label Bloodshot Records’ co-founder Nan Warshaw’s partner Mark Panick, has been accused of sexual misconduct by singer-songwriter Lydia Loveless. This past weekend, Loveless took to Instagram on Sunday detailing the alleged abuse. According to Pitchfork,  Loveless alleged that the abuse included “groping, verbal sexual harassment, and Facebook comments “that would elicit texts from friends [saying], ‘Who is this person? Are you OK?’”  Panick issued a statement regarding the allegations, saying that he “never set out to make anyone uncomfortable.” He then apologized saying “if anything I did made anyone feel unsafe and or uncomfortable.”

Fellow co-founder Rob Miller confronted Warshaw about the allegations, with Warshaw apologizing to Loveless for “any hell or even awkwardness” from any “actions or inactions.” Warshaw then announced her step-down as co-founder to work on her personal life, with a representative from Bloodshot telling Pitchfork, “It was the consensus that [Warshaw’s] presence, while she works on her personal life, would be a distraction to the staff and to the artists and all their great work. It would be premature to speculate right now what her involvement will be in the future.”

Loveless is now finished with her contract with Bloodshot and is in the process of recording her new album, with a title and release date yet to be announced.
