Rodrigo Y Gabriela Announces Spring 2019 Tour Dates

Rodrigo Y Gabriela are embarking on a North American tour, set to begin in May. They are also set to appear at several international festivals, all celebrating their highly anticipated new album, METTAVOLUTION, slated for an April 26 release.

The headlining tour begins in Austin, TX on May 4 at the Moody Theater, and will continue on into early June. These dates follow a previously announced European tour, in which the pair will visit Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, England, and France throughout April.

The upcoming world tour celebrates Rodrigo y Gabriela’s hugely anticipated fifth studio album, METTAVOLUTION, due to arrive via ATO Records on Friday, April 26. Pre-orders are available now, with the first 500 pre-orders receiving an exclusive autographed postcard from Rodrigo and Gabriela themselves.

Their first album in five years, METTAVOLUTION marks the most ambitious music of Rodrigo y Gabriela’s remarkable two-decade career. The album took three years to write, compose, and record, and embraces the duo’s passion for Buddhism, as well as complex concepts concerning humanity and our potential, all expressed through two acoustic guitars.

METTAVOLUTION was recorded in late 2018 in Los Angeles multiple Grammy-winning producer Dave Sardy. Sardy has worked with Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, A Perfect Circle, and more in the past.
